Wonderful trip today 13/12/15 – why is this not signposted from the main Awakino Rd- well worth the 5 kls detour. We did a neat round trip from Waitomo(where we live) to Maracopa then on to ‘the hole in the wall’ and on to Awakino and back along the main road to Waitomo – 220 ks for the trip and sawmaybe 5 other cars along the way on the back roads. About10 ks of good metal road on trip.
